??: International - The Brussels frequency plan takes effect: the separation between stations are now 9 kHz up to 1000 kHz and 10 kHz above 1000 kHz.
??: Germany - Sender Leipzig moves from 820 to 829 kHz.

30: International - The Prague frequency plan takes effect: the 9 kHz separation is extended to stations up to 1400 kHz, 10 kHz separation remains above 1400 kHz.

??: Estonia - A new transmitter starts in Lasnamäe. The Kopli transmitter was moved to Tartu.

21: UK - BBC LO moves from Oxford Street (Selfridges) to Brookmans Park and uses 842 kHz with 30 kW. See also: London's Radio Station Brookmans Park

13: Norway - a 60 kW-transmitter in Oslo-Lambertseter starts broadcasting on 608 kHz.
